Pickled ginger – recipe

Pickled ginger is an exotic and interesting spice that is traditionally served with sushi, but no one forbids serving such ginger with meat, fish, kebabs and other dishes.

How to cook pickled ginger

First, prepare all the ingredients and utensils for your convenience.

Pickled ginger: ingredients

  • ginger – 60 g
  • apple cider vinegar – 0.5 tbsp. l.; l.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup boiling water

Pickled ginger: preparation

  1. Peel, rinse the ginger root.
  2. Using a vegetable peeler, cut into thin slices or thin pieces.
  3. Pour boiling water with salt, leave to cool completely.
  4. Then drain the water, but not all, so that the water covers all the ginger. Pour in a spoonful of vinegar.
  5. Add sugar to taste. If necessary, then salt.
  6. Close in a jar and store in the refrigerator!
  7. For pink, you can add a little beetroot juice.
