Chips are one of the most favorite treats for children. But commercially available potato chips contain questionable flavors that can be harmful. The same cannot be said for homemade apple chips, which are delicious, low in calories and healthy.

First, the syrup is prepared. A glass of water is poured into a saucepan, four tablespoons of sugar and a teaspoon of citric acid are poured. It is necessary to cook until all the ingredients are dissolved, it is not necessary to boil until thick, remove from the heat as soon as the sugar is completely dissolved. Apples should be washed and cut into thin circles half a centimeter thick.You don’t even need to remove the core with seeds, because when you cut apples, it will fall out by itself, and in the center there will only be a seed box that resembles an asterisk.

Sliced apples are dipped in syrup for a quarter of an hour so that the circles absorb it a little. After that, the apple circles are dried on a paper towel or napkin. Next, these apple particles are completely dried – either in the oven or in a vegetable dryer. In the dryer, the appropriate drying mode is selected, but you can do all this in the old fashioned way in the oven. To do this, cover the baking sheet with baking paper and lay apples on it. Preheat the oven to eighty degrees and leave the circles to dry for 1.5 – 2 hours. Readiness is checked visually – the edges of the apple circles will become wavy, and the color will become golden beige.

Apple ice cream

This dessert is very popular with children. But outside the city in the country it is not so easy to buy ice cream, but you can make it yourself. Moreover, to make ice cream according to this recipe, you do not need any special appliances, such as freezers or ice cream makers. The delicacy is prepared very simply, but the main thing is that the blanks for them can be stored in the freezer for several months.

The core is removed from the apples, peeled, cut into pieces and chopped with a blender. Cream or milk is added to the created puree, as well as, if necessary, sugar and twisted again in a blender. The resulting mass is laid out in muffin molds and put in the freezer. In this form, applesauce can be stored until the next time you want to eat ice cream.

Then the required number of apple blanks is taken out of the refrigerator and split into pieces to make it easier for the food processor to cut them. Transfer the pieces to a food processor and chop them. With this processing, the puree will begin to melt and turn into real soft ice cream.

Ice cream is laid out in bowls, and if you have a special spoon, you can make balls from ice cream. According to the same recipe, ice cream is made from strawberries, mangoes or bananas.

Apple marshmallow

It is known that oriental delicacies are one of the most delicious and famous in the world. This also applies to marshmallows, and apples can also be made from apples. A big plus of this recipe is the absence of sugar, and this marshmallow is made exclusively from apples. The core is removed from the apples and cut into pieces. You do not need to peel. Then they are crushed in a meat grinder and placed in a thick-walled pan – so that the apple mass does not burn. If the apples are not juicy enough, you can add a little water, and add cinnamon (cinnamon) for flavor.

The apple mass is stewed over low heat until the liquid evaporates. It will become quite thick. Then this mass must be laid out on a sheet lined with paper to dry. Try to spread the applesauce as evenly as possible, seven to eight millimeters thick, so that the marshmallow does not burn in the thinnest places. Marshmallow should be dried at temperatures above one hundred degrees for about four hours. To check the readiness, press a spatula against the marshmallow, and when the marshmallow is ready, the spatula stops sticking to it.

Next, the marshmallows must be allowed to cool completely. Now the main thing is to remove the paper. To do this, the layer is turned over, moistened with paper with water and left for five minutes. After that, it should easily move away from the marshmallow. If you are not sure about the quality of the paper, grease it with a small amount of refined vegetable oil.

Next comes serving. You can cut the marshmallow into rhombuses, or molds with figures, or you can twist small layers into tubes. Although this marshmallow can be stored for a long time, no one has yet succeeded – it is so delicious!
