Cherry jam: cooking

  1. It is necessary to wash the cherries well, remove the stalks and let excess water drain.
  2. Remove all seeds from the cherries.

  4. Pour peeled cherries into the prepared pan, cover with sugar. After 2 – 3 hours, the cherries will release juice.
  5. Put the pot with cherries on low heat, bring to a boil, cook for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally and remove the foam. Remove the jam from the heat and leave to cool completely.
  6. This boiling and cooling process must be repeated 3 more times.
  7. Before the last boil, add thinly sliced or ground lemon particles to the cherry jam.

  9. Bring cherry jam to a boil. Pour hot cherry jam into sterilized jars and roll up.
  10. Closed jars need to be turned upside down, wrapped and left to cool.
