Strawberry compote is loved not only by adults, but also by children.

In winter, it is very pleasant to open a jar of strawberry compote and enjoy the aroma and taste of strawberries. So, we do preservation for the winter – we close the strawberry compote.

Strawberry compote: ingredients

  • Strawberries – 2.5 cups
  • Sugar – 1.5 cups
  • Water

Strawberry compote: cooking

  1. Wash the berries, remove the stalks.
  2. Put the berries on 1/3 of the jar.
  3. Add sugar.
  4. Pour hot boiled water to the very top.
  5. Cover the jar with a lid, sterilize for 12 – 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the jar from sterilization and roll up.
  7. The jar needs to be turned upside down and put “under the covers” for a day.

Store compote in a cool, dark place.
