Pear jam – recipe
We prepare delicious pear jam for the winter.
For pear jam, it is best to choose summer-autumn varieties, and soft varieties of pears are used for jam or marmalade. It is also worth noting that when heated, pears do not lose their beneficial properties.
You can add poppy seeds, apples, lemon, cinnamon, apples to pear jam, these additions will make the jam unusual and very tasty.

Ingredients for pear jam
- Pears – 1 kg
- sugar- 1 kg
- water – 0.5 cups
- 1 lemon – zest

Making pear jam
Pears need to be washed, remove the middle with seeds.
Mix water and sugar in a saucepan and boil the syrup (until the sugar dissolves).
Next, you need to pour the pears into the syrup, boil the pears until tender (the pears should become transparent).
At the very end, add the lemon zest, cook the jam for another 10 minutes.
Pour hot jam into hot sterilized jars and roll up sterile lids. Turn over, wrap until completely cooled.
