Flower garden shape

Depending on the landscape features of the site and its size, the design of flower beds can be made both in the form of flat compositions and slightly raised and framed with decorative tiles or stone. The forms of flower beds can be quite diverse, starting with free ones – they do not have pronounced boundaries and ending with original curly and wavy ones. In order to give an unusual shape to the flower garden, you can use any household items: barrels and baskets, old cars, boats and even beds.

Paper Landing Plan

In order to decorate a flower bed in front of the house, which will decorate the garden and will delight you with the brightness of colors and splendor throughout the season, you must, first of all, draw its plan on paper. For work, it is advisable to use colored pencils: bright colors of spots of schematic images of group and point solitary (evergreen, low, beautifully trimmed) plantings in the flower garden will allow you to correctly distribute plants with different colors and timing, flowering periods.

Integrity of the picture

Garden-painting consisting of a collection of landscape compositions. The main goal of the gardener is to bring each of the elements of the landscape to perfection. The chaotic arrangement of plants on the site will not give the desired result. Therefore, not being able to plant the entire territory, to begin with, it is worth planting only a small part of it, but making it complete. Beautiful harmonious flower beds are created by combining mixed plantings in which both annuals and perennials are present, both flowering and ornamental deciduous and evergreen plants, so that with the onset of each season the flower bed looks beautiful.

Plant placement by growth

  • The principle of multi-tiering provides for the sequence of plant placement.
  • Planting plants in a flower bed should start with tall perennials
  • In the foreground are ground cover (able to quickly fill empty spaces, ideal for decorating flower beds), bulbous and undersized plants, which act as a frame for beautifully flowering medium-sized plants.
  • In the background, we plant medium-sized perennials and tall bulbous, which act as soloists of the flower garden, become the center of attention in the flower bed at different times of the year. Tapeworms (evergreen, low, well-trimmed plants) also look spectacular. They can be combined with medium-sized ones and planted in one tier against the background of tall plants with decorative foliage or flowers of contrasting shades.
  • In the third plan, we plant tall perennials and evergreens.
