How to make a New Year’s wreath

New Year’s wreaths should be made round, not very heavy, but bright using different materials.

  • You will need, depending on your product:
  • Wire as the basis of the product;
  • Thread, hot glue (gun);
  • Flexible twigs (willow) 70 – 80 cm long. Christmas tree (thuja, juniper) and deciduous twigs;
  • Cones, rowan berries, viburnum, lemongrass, paradise apples…;
  • Ribbons, necklaces, toys, artificial snow or other décor.

  2. We make a metal frame. We make a metal frame from 2-4 rings: one larger in diameter, the second smaller. We fasten the rings together with thin metal wire. The frame is ready. On such a frame you can stick a lot of cones and décor – the wreath is ready.

  3. Next, divide coniferous branches or flexible (willow) branches, fold to a pile. Fold the coniferous twigs into small bunches and wrap them with a green thread to the metal base, inserting a bright décor, if necessary, cover the bottom of the previous one with each subsequent bunch. Fold the flexible branches into a bundle, secure with wire at one end and twist so that the branches are intertwined with each other, fix them, and attach them to the base. The base of our wreath is ready.

  4. Next, glue the décor with hot glue. Before gluing the décor, fold the composition, fix the necessary parts together if necessary. Wrap the base of the décor with wire for reliability, fix with hot glue.
