Simple and effective methods offered by experienced gardeners will help you with this.   <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefits of storage with propolis<\/h3>\n\n<p>One way to store apples for a long time is to use propolis. It is known for its antiseptic properties, which help protect fruits from mold and bacteria. To prepare the solution, mix 100 g of propolis with 0.5 liters of alcohol. Immerse the apples for a few seconds in this solution, and then dry thoroughly. This method is suitable for processing as much as 100 kg of fruit.    <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uses of baking soda<\/h3>\n\n<p>Another way to process apples before storage is to use a 5% baking soda solution. Baking soda adds extra protection by preventing the growth of bacteria on the surface of apples. Just rinse the fruits in the solution and leave them to dry.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Iodinol and calcium chloride for long-term storage<\/h3>\n\n<p>Iodinol is another remedy available in pharmacies. Soak the apples for 10-15 minutes in an aqueous solution of iodinol before moving them to the cellar. This is an additional protection against fungal infections. Also, 2-4% calcium chloride is suitable for this, in which apples need to be kept for only a minute.   <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Glycerin, beeswax and salicylic acid<\/h3>\n\n<p>To keep apples moist and keep them attractive, you can treat them with glycerin or beeswax. These natural remedies prevent moisture from evaporating.
